Drivers for some later ones (with 600, 1200 or 2400 in the name) are available on the Mustek website here. However the drivers for the earlier version (with no number in the name) seem to be almost impossible to find, and there are no Windows 7 drivers available. The Windows Vista driver can be made to work on Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit) with some tweaking. • Right-click it and choose Properties, Compatibility. Set to run in compatibility mode for Vista SP2 and run as an administrator. • Now run the installer.

• When prompted about unknown drivers choose “Install this driver software anyway”. • Restart Windows when prompted.

• The shortcuts folder may be on the desktop or elsewhere, and not in start menu – if so move to the right place. • (Optional) Remove “Watch” from the startup folder as it isn’t needed for using the TWAIN driver from other software. • (Optional) Run msconfig and remove “Watch Dog” and “Gtwatch” in the Startup tab as they also aren’t needed for TWAIN. The TWAIN driver should now work from any image editing/management software. The WIA driver won’t work even though it’s listed.
