The Science career reward is logic, also the Education bookshelf. (Which, if one is going to study logic in real life, one probably will be using books, so very realistic.) You'd have to poke around a bit. I think some of the crafting stations on Plumbbob Keep might do logic--haven't really looked into what skills they do all that much but my basket-maker keeps getting creativity points so they have skills associated with them. I'd also look at Affinity Sims because the wood chopping trees there build body so there might be other skill building objects. (I have some flowers that are pickable into baskets that build creativity that are probably from one or the other of those two sites. It's always my medieval sims who get cool random skill-building objects because they get so many cool objects to do stuff with.) Sophie-David here on MTS has some skill-building objects as well: some that the sim views to gain skill points. Again, I don't remember which skills.

Knowledge sims are fine with singing karaoke. Shy sims fear it, but often do it anyway.

I'm okay with charisma being difficult to get these days. It makes a nice limiting skill if I don't want sims to progress very far or fast in their profession, and in real life charisma is a special quality. I have about 0 charisma, myself.

And it's not so hard to get if you give people birds. They'll autonomously talk to the bird and gain charisma without being directed to do it.

Of course they do - especially duets.
