I have never had mini sewing machine but i have done some sewing. Start where you are and stitch 5 or 6 stitches. Before toy start hold thread about 3 or 4 inches from needle. If thread is to short it will pull out. After stitching look at thread on top and bottom.

They should be flat and even. If top is looser tighten a little and try again. Same with bottom. Every machine has it,s own personality. Fabric will also change tension. Thin material is hard to begin with.

Use wrapping tissue under. It tears away. Thread the top thread through the needle then turn the wheel while holding the thread from the top tight you will notice a loop of thread from the bottom appear you need to pull this untill you get the end of the bottom thread and then your ready to go.Clear as mud eh? I bought a mini sewing machine and I could have throwen it out the window within less then an hour all it ever did was get knotted up I ended up buying a full size sewing machine which is absolutely brilliant, I wish I never wasted my money on a mini.
